Jill Davies – Salon Proprietor

I have been in the hairdressing industry for over 30 years (I know I don’t look old enough!)

I was trained as a 3 year, plus 2 year improver apprentice, which led me to gain a City and Guilds in ladies and gentlemen’s barbering, entering competitions and gaining many certificates countywide. My dream was to one day own and run my own salon. These opportunities arouse in 2006, when we opened Hairworx Hair and Beauty in Par Lane, Par. With the help and support of my husband, Mike, we turned a disused run down building into a thriving hair salon.

Three years later, an even bigger opportunity came our way, when we purchased another disused building, 3 times larger which needed major construction work.

Planning was granted and works commenced November 2009 to create this luxury hair beauty and wellness salon.

April 2010, the brand new luxury Hairworx and Wellness salon opened its doors to existing and new clients.

Jodie Davies – Receptionist/Administrator

My role within the salon is the receptionist/ administrator; I take bookings, advise on latest promotions and ensure the efficient running of the salon. I also advise clients of all retail products available for retail purchase.

I enjoy meeting and greeting our regular clients, as well as new clients

Vicki Hoskin - Senior Stylist

Hello my name is Vicki. I have been hairdressing for 4 years. During these years I have competed in various competitions winning National Hairdressing Federation awards.

I love working with the team at Hairworx, such a friendly and professional bunch.

I am very passionate about hairdressing and enjoy colouring and love creating different individual looks.

Katie Dunn – Stylist

Hello my name is Katie. I joined the team at Hairworx as a junior in October 2010 where I completed my NVQ level 2 through Ultra training. I am now working towards my NVQ level 3 with GHQ training.

I enjoy all aspects of hairdressing and have gained so much experience and training from the girls at Hairworx. I love to learn new styles and have lots of inspirational ideas which I bring to the salon.

I very much enjoy working at Hairworx and it makes me feel very proud that I have built a clientele which is returning to me on a regular basis. I feel very passionate about my career.

Lisa Lofthouse - Salon Trainee

Hi my name is Lisa. I joined the team at Hairworx in April 2012 as a salon Junior. I am currently taking an NVQ level 2 apprenticeship through GHQ training within the salon.

I am now beginning to build a clientelle of my own which makes me feel very proud.

I enjoy working with the girls here at Hairworx and am looking forward to learning and gaining experience in the hairdressing industry.

Gemma Grose – Beauty Therapist

Hi my name is Gemma. I have been a Beauty Therapist for 9 years now. Throughout most of my work in Beauty I have worked in salons in St Austell. I also worked in a local spa gaining lots of experience in massage, pregnancy massage and facials.

I love all aspects of the beauty industry and look forward to my future with the team at Hairworx.

Lucy King - Beauty Therapist

Hello my name is Lucy. I have been working within the beauty industry for 5 years. During this time I have worked in a 4* spa and also a salon in St Austell. I am qualified in NVQ level 2 & 3 Beauty Therapy and Nail Technology.

I am extremely passionate about everything beauty and love to learn and experience new treatments in the workpace.

Jess Greenaway – Beauty Therapist/Nail Technician

Hello my name is Jess. I have completed level 2 and 3 in nails and beauty. Following work experience, I was given a position at the nail and beauty centre, St Austell, where I spent a year. I am now specializing as a nail technician and I absolutely love nail art. I enjoy working with the team at Hairworx, such an amazing place with wonderful facilities. My famous saying is ‘I love it’!
