A dream years in the making finally became reality.  After countless delays, setbacks, stops and starts, Hairworx officially opened the doors to its brand-new Upstairs Beauty Suite with a special gathering of clients, friends and supporters who helped make the journey possible.

What began as Jill’s vision of creating a true one-stop destination for Hair, Beauty and Wellness has now become a reality. The opening of the second floor marks an exciting new chapter for Hairworx, bringing even more services together under one roof for the local community.

This celebration was about more than just a new space, it was a moment to reflect on the determination, hard work and belief that turned an idea into something real. Thank you to everyone who has supported the journey so far. Here's to the next chapter.

We're proud to announce that Bella has successfully completed a two-day professional hair extension training course in Plymouth with Belle Academy. During the course, she developed the skills and techniques needed to provide high-quality hair extension services, including consultation, application, maintenance, and aftercare. Bella is excited to bring her new expertise to Hairworx, offering clients beautiful, natural-looking extensions to add length, volume, or a complete hair transformation. We are incredibly proud to announce that our talented stylist Caitlin has achieved her NVQ Level 3 City & Guilds Certificate with a Distinction! This comes after previously achieving her Level 2 with a Distinction as well, an amazing accomplishment that reflects her dedication, hard work, and passion for the hair industry. Caitlin is not only a fantastic stylist, but she is also a wonderful ambassador for Hairworx. Her care and attention towards every client, her professionalism, and her commitment to continually developing her skills make her a huge credit to our salon.Watching her grow in confidence and knowledge has been a pleasure, and this achievement is so well deserved Well done, Caitlin – we couldn’t be prouder.

A huge congratulations to Bella on passing her City & Guilds Level 2 qualification an incredible four months ahead of schedule! Bella has worked exceptionally hard throughout her training, showing dedication, determination and a real passion for hairdressing every step of the way. We are so proud of everything she has achieved and can't wait to see her continue to grow and thrive as part of the Hairworx team.

Rumour has it the competition was fierce… but Jill has officially claimed the title of Best Pickled Onion Champion 2024 at the annual Onion Competition held at The Rashleigh Inn at Charlestown, supported by the Regatta committee. A hard-fought battle of crunch, vinegar and questionable bravery from all involved, but in the end there could only be one winner. Jill is now proudly accepting her trophy, acceptance speech still slightly teary from the onions.

Our Senior Stylist Lisa took on an incredible challenge to celebrate her 30th birthday, a charity skydive! Hairworx was proud to sponsor Lisa and supported her fundraising efforts, helping to raise money in the salon for a fantastic cause. We couldn't be prouder of Lisa for stepping out of her comfort zone, taking the leap and making a difference at the same time.

In April 2023, Zoe and Bethany travelled to London to complete an intensive two-day CACI Advanced Training course. Following this specialist training, we are proud to offer a range of advanced treatments using the CACI Synergy machine, one of the most innovative non-surgical facial systems available. In Auguat 2004, Zoe and Bethany successfully completed their cryosurgery training, enabling them to safely assess and remove a range of benign skin lesions. This additional qualification allows us to offer even more advanced skin treatments in the clinic, providing clients with convenient access to professional lesion removal. Zoe has also undertaken further specialist training in mole screening and is now qualified to assess moles for signs that may indicate skin cancer. This service provides clients with greater peace of mind by identifying suspicious moles that may require further medical investigation, supporting the early detection of skin cancer.

We had an excellent day with the Great British Barber Bash team, Garry and Ollie’s skills of fading technique were incredible and we all enjoyed it very much. To receive this type of excellent education in our region was definitely an opportunity not to be missed.

Hairworx are delighted to have provided the new team AFC Par with their new kit ahead of the first season since their formation. Jill Davies owner of Hairworx was approached by Kevin Morcom the player manager who was extremely excited with the new team for par and Jill was only too happy to support the local community with sponsoring their new kit and also offers the players a 10% discount on their haircuts.

Hairworx held a raffle at the salon to raise money for a local boy called Aiden who sadly has Cerebral Palsy and is saving for an operation to help him walk which will cost £45.000. We donated several prices including a pair of GHD Hair straighteners and raised a total of £231.00
