Jill Davies
Salon Proprietor
With over 45 years in the hairdressing industry, Jill has dedicated her career to helping clients look and feel their very best. Beginning her journey as a Saturday girl at just 14 years old, Jill went on to complete extensive training in both ladies’ hairdressing and gentlemen’s barbering, gaining City & Guild qualifications and earning recognition in competitions across the county.
After taking time out to raise her three children, Jill returned to the industry through freelance hairdressing, building a loyal client base through her passion, dedication and personal approach. Her dream of owning a salon became a reality in 2006 when Hairworx Hair & Beauty first opened in Par, transforming a once run-down building into a welcoming and thriving salon space.
As Hairworx continued to grow, so did Jill’s vision. In 2010, following a major redevelopment project, the brand-new luxury Hairworx Hair, Beauty & Wellness Salon officially opened its doors, offering clients a unique experience combining hair, beauty and wellbeing all under one roof. Since then, the salon has continued to evolve with ongoing refurbishments, expansion and investment into both the client experience and the latest industry innovations.
Now, in 2026, Hairworx enters an exciting new chapter with the addition of a brand-new upper floor featuring beautifully designed treatment and rental spaces for beauty, therapy and wellness professionals. Accessibility has also remained a priority, with lift access installed throughout the salon for client comfort and convenience.
Jill is incredibly proud of the hardworking and talented team at Hairworx and of the warm, welcoming atmosphere they have created together. The salon works with leading professional brands to ensure clients receive the very best in products, treatments and care.
At the heart of Hairworx is a simple philosophy, to provide every client with exceptional service, expert advice and a relaxing experience from the moment they walk through the door. Jill and her team are passionate about making people feel confident, cared for and completely valued, ensuring every visit is one to enjoy and remember.
Jodie Whitehead
Salon Manageress/Administrator
As Salon Manager and Administrator, Jodie oversees the day-to-day operations of Hairworx, managing everything from appointment systems and client organisation to bookkeeping, payroll, staff holidays and general administration. Her attention to detail, organisation and calm approach help keep the salon operating efficiently while supporting both the team and clients alike.
Following the arrival of her four boys, Jodie now works remotely, continuing to manage and monitor the salon systems, daily operations and administration from home.
Although she may not always be physically in the salon, she remains very much at the heart of Hairworx and is always only a phone call away when needed.
Jodie plays a key role in maintaining the positive, supportive environment Hairworx is known for, ensuring both the team and clients receive the highest level of care, organisation and service at all times.
Cindy Waddington
Receptionist
Starting a new role during the challenges of Covid-19 certainly brought its own obstacles, but Cindy embraced the experience and has continued to grow in confidence and knowledge ever since. Today, she plays an important part in the smooth day-to-day running of the salon, helping clients feel welcomed, comfortable and looked after from the moment they arrive.
Cindy’s role includes managing appointments, processing transactions and assisting clients with enquiries both in person and across phone, email and social media. Over the years, she has developed a strong understanding of the salon systems and takes pride in providing excellent customer service with a warm and approachable manner.
As one of the first faces clients see when they walk through the door, Cindy is always happy to greet you, answer any questions and help guide you through your Hairworx experience until your stylist or therapist is ready for your appointment.
Lisa Lofthouse
Senior Stylist
Lisa has been part of the Hairworx journey since 2011, beginning her career with the salon as an apprentice and growing into the confident and talented Senior Stylist she is today. Starting out as a salon junior, Lisa completed her apprenticeship training at Hairworx while gaining her NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications alongside her City & Guilds certification in ladies’ hairdressing.
Over the years, Lisa has developed a wealth of experience, confidence and technical skill, building a loyal and ever-growing clientele through her warm personality, professionalism and genuine passion for hairdressing. Her journey within the salon is something both she and the Hairworx team are incredibly proud of, reflecting the supportive environment and opportunities for growth within the salon.
Lisa enjoys all aspects of hairdressing and loves helping clients find styles, colours and cuts that truly suit them and make them feel their best. Known for being a great listener and communicator, she takes time to understand each client’s needs while offering honest advice on hair care, styling and maintaining healthy hair at home.
Passionate about staying up to date with current trends, techniques and products, Lisa is always keen to continue learning and evolving within the industry. She takes pride in making every client feel comfortable, confident and cared for during their visit and loves being part of the friendly, professional team at Hairworx.
Tannis Bruce
Senior Stylist
Tannis joined the Hairworx team in 2017, bringing with her a wealth of industry knowledge, creativity and experience gained over a long and successful career in hairdressing. With a strong passion for both styling and education, she has become a valued member of the salon team and has built a loyal clientele through her friendly, professional and approachable manner.
After completing her NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications at St Austell College, Tannis began her career working in a busy salon environment in St Austell, where she progressed to Senior Stylist level and continued to develop her technical skills and confidence across all areas of hairdressing.
Wanting to further expand her knowledge within the industry, Tannis later trained as a hairdressing tutor, gaining her teaching qualification before also completing her Assessor’s Award. Her background in education has given her a real passion for mentoring and supporting the next generation of stylists, and she enjoys sharing techniques, knowledge and industry experience with younger team members and students.
Tannis loves all aspects of hairdressing and takes pride in helping clients feel relaxed, confident and listened to throughout their appointment. Known for her patience, enthusiasm and attention to detail, she is committed to ensuring every client leaves the salon feeling happy with both their hair and their overall experience.
Since joining Hairworx, Tannis has built a strong and loyal client base and always looks forward to welcoming both returning and new clients into the salon.
Shania Johns
Senior Stylist
Shania joined the Hairworx team in 2015 after completing her Level 2 and Level 3 City & Guilds qualifications in Hairdressing at St Austell College. Since then, she has become a much-loved member of the salon team, known for her bubbly personality, creativity and genuine passion for the hair industry.
Shania enjoys all aspects of hairdressing, with a particular love for balayage, colour transformations and creating personalised looks that help clients feel confident and refreshed. She is passionate about keeping up with current trends and techniques and loves seeing clients return time and time again, building strong relationships and a loyal client base along the way.
In 2021, Shania decided to take on an exciting new adventure working aboard cruise ships, travelling to different countries and gaining valuable life and industry experience along the way. During her time away, she occasionally returned to Hairworx to help support the salon during busy periods, which ultimately reminded her just how much she loved being part of the Hairworx team. After more than a year of travelling, she decided it was time to swap life at sea for life back in the salon alongside her friends, colleagues and loyal clients.
Today, Shania continues to thrive as part of the Hairworx family and loves welcoming both new and returning clients into her chair. Her friendly nature, creativity and enthusiasm for hairdressing make her a valued part of the team and a stylist clients love to come back to.
Caitlin Phillips
Level 3 Stylist
Caitlin joined the Hairworx team in 2021 as an apprentice and has quickly grown into a talented and confident stylist, successfully achieving distinction in her Level 3 qualification. With a natural eye for detail, creativity and a passion for modern hairdressing, she is already building a loyal and ever-growing clientele.
Caitlin is especially known for her beautiful balayage work, creating seamless blends, soft dimension and fresh, lived-in colour with a modern, effortless finish. Friendly, approachable and dedicated to achieving the perfect result, she takes time to understand each client’s vision to ensure they leave the salon feeling confident, refreshed and completely looked after.
Bella-Therese Warrender
Level 2 Hair Stylist, Extension and Mesh Integration Specialist
Bella joined Hairworx in 2024 and qualified with her City & Guilds Level 2 four months early. Bella is making her mark here at Hairworx. She’s enthusiastic, ambitious, and passionate about building her client base while continuing to develop her skills every day.
Bella has quickly found her niche as our resident Hair Extension Specialist, offering a range of techniques tailored to each client’s needs, from adding length and volume to creating completely seamless transformations. Her attention to detail and ability to colour match perfectly ensures every finish looks natural and flawless.
She is also our expert in Mesh Integration, a specialist service designed for clients experiencing thinning hair or hair loss. Bella approaches this work with genuine care and sensitivity, helping clients regain confidence with discreet, comfortable, and beautifully blended results.
Known for her friendly nature and calming presence, Bella takes the time to really listen during consultations, making sure every client feels comfortable, understood, and excited about their hair journey.

Summer Murphy
Apprentice Hair Stylist
Summer joined the Hairworx team in 2025 and is at the beginning of her exciting journey within the hairdressing industry. Currently working towards her NVQ qualification and attending college one day a week, she is already becoming a valued member of the salon team while developing her skills alongside Hairworx’s experienced stylists. With a natural enthusiasm for all things hair and beauty, Summer is gaining hands-on experience in cutting, colouring and styling while building confidence on the salon floor day by day.
Her positive attitude, willingness to learn and attention to detail are helping her grow quickly, and it has been a pleasure watching her flourish within the team. Friendly, approachable and always eager to help, Summer takes pride in making every client feel welcome and comfortable during their visit. She is also always looking for models to continue refining her skills, making her a fantastic choice for anyone wanting to support the next generation of Hairworx talent.
Zoe Bunt
Beauty Therapist
Zoe joined the Hairworx team in March 2018 and is a fully qualified NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 Beauty Therapist. Since joining the salon, she has grown in both confidence and experience, becoming a valued and much-loved member of the team.
Previously working in a spa environment, Zoe brought with her a strong foundation in beauty therapy, which she has continued to build on within the busy salon setting at Hairworx. She enjoys being part of a supportive team and thrives in a role where every day brings something different.
Zoe is passionate about all aspects of beauty therapy and loves delivering a wide range of treatments, ensuring every client leaves feeling relaxed, refreshed and cared for. She has also had the opportunity to train with professional product ranges such as Crystal Clear, further developing her skills and treatment knowledge.
Always keen to keep learning, Zoe looks forward to ongoing training and introducing new treatments to the salon as the industry continues to evolve.
She especially enjoys welcoming both new and returning clients, and finds the most rewarding part of her job is seeing people leave the salon feeling pampered, confident and happy.
Bethany Grigg
Beauty Therapist
Bethany is a fully qualified NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 Beauty Therapist who joined the Hairworx team in 2023. Before joining the salon, she gained valuable experience working within luxury hotel and spa environments, developing her skills across a wide range of beauty treatments while building a strong passion for client care and wellbeing.
Although she enjoyed the spa industry, Bethany was keen to move into a salon environment where she could build stronger relationships with clients and create a more regular and personal experience for those visiting her. Since joining Hairworx, she has quickly built a loyal and growing clientele and has become a valued member of the team.
Bethany loves all aspects of beauty therapy and takes pride in helping clients feel relaxed, confident and pampered during every appointment. Her warm personality and caring approach make clients feel instantly comfortable, and she especially enjoys seeing familiar faces return to her column time and time again.
Passionate about continuing to grow within the industry, Bethany is always keen to further develop her skills and knowledge while staying up to date with new treatments and techniques.
At the beginning of 2025, Bethany also took the opportunity to spend two months travelling around South Asia with her twin sister, an unforgettable experience that created memories to last a lifetime before returning refreshed and ready to continue doing what she loves at Hairworx.

Charmaine Goodman
Beauty and Holistic Therapist
Charmaine joined the Hairworx team in 2025, bringing with her over 25 years of experience within the beauty, holistic and spa industry across Cornwall and Devon. With an extensive background in both salon and spa management, alongside hands-on therapy work, Charmaine offers a wealth of knowledge, professionalism and passion for client wellbeing.
Throughout her career, Charmaine has worked in a variety of roles including salon owner, mobile therapist and spa manager. She also played a key role in launching and managing a luxury hotel spa in Devon, overseeing a team of therapists and hairdressing staff while helping to establish the spa from the very beginning.
Highly experienced across all aspects of the industry, Charmaine has also worked as an Elemis professional and skincare consultant for over 20 years, developing a strong understanding of both beauty treatments and holistic wellbeing.
Charmaine is passionate about helping people feel their very best, both inside and out. She believes every great treatment begins with listening and takes pride in building genuine relationships with her clients. Known for her warm personality, honest approach and love of conversation, she creates a welcoming and relaxing experience where clients can truly unwind and feel cared for.
She is excited to be part of the Hairworx team and looks forward to welcoming both new and existing clients while continuing to build her clientele within the salon’s growing beauty and wellness space.
